What should my child wear?
We would suggest clothing that is timeless. Remember you are creating a portrait that will be treasured for the rest of your life. Avoid clothing that contains text and current popular cartoon characters that lose meaning as trends change.
Should I bring props and toys?
Toys are good to get the attention of infants however, if the child will not let the toy go, try not to bring toys. Props are okay as long as they match the child’s clothing and do not take away from seeing the child because they are so large. If you are trying to reflect a theme, call us to discuss the theme and the necessary props.
Do you take posed or candid photos?
We normally try to take both traditional posed portraits looking at the camera and candid photos of the child reacting to something happening or just being themselves.
What is a good time of day to schedule the photo session?
You know your child. We suggest you schedule when your child is most likely to cooperate with the photo session. This is often in the morning right after they have woken up and have gotten something to eat or after a nap.
What if my child suddenly gets sick?
We normally ask for 24 hour notice for canceled appointments, however we know that children do get sick at the worst times. Try to give us as much notice as possible, but if the child is ill by all means call to reschedule.
What happens if my child is having a bad day?
We try to schedule enough time for your child to get used to us and used to being in front of the camera. If the child is having such a bad day that we cannot get the photographs we are willing to reschedule.
